My grandmother's sister (great aunt) co-manages this private-community run orphanage with 625 children of all ages, and 52 babies (March 2010) in Nyundo, Kigali. I remember the days when my parents and I visited the children before 1994.
The orphanage is the largest in Rwanda. It has its own micro-infrastructure including a kitchen which provides food for all 625 children & staff members, a school, a hospital, cultivated fields for potatoes and vegetables and a farm to raise cattle, pigs and goats. BALOJI feat. KONONO n1 - KARIBU YA BINTOU from BALOJI on Vimeo.
Here is a great song by Baloji. The video was shot in Kinshasa / DRC. My mom actually studied in Kinshasa. Gotta love the culture.via Dwelle Dwel
